Demo DVD

In March 2007 Laurence gave a talk about DVD, covering the history of the format and its predecessors up to the new video format of blu-ray. He produced a demo DVD which he used in the talk, which showed all the features of DVD and includes several video clips. It featured an interactive game, subtitles, split screen comparison and a collection of Dolby Digital 5.1 video clips and excerpts from films to test your surround sound speaker system. As a bonus there was a collection of archive PC related clips and an easter egg! Copies of the DVD were given out after the talk, but you can still get your own copy by emailling your request to the address at the bottom of the page.
